Secondary chemical information resources and fact searching
This exercise entails solving a problem by going to the literature to find physical and spectroscopic data to identify an unknown ditertiary phosphine. The students can use SciFinder Scholar, Beilstein-Gmelin or other secondary sources. I require that they have at least one non-commercial source which means that they can use Chemfinder and Sigma-Aldrich but peer-reviewed sources are also required. I also require at least one source of experimental data to support their answer.
