Abstract

The task of the early childhood teacher is to find out what the children already understand. Six different math “talk moves,” often referred to as strategies can be used to further the children’s mathematical thinking. Throughout this article, we will see how these math talk moves have affected Ms. Jennifer’s preschool classroom.
