Reading by the Book: An Examination of Reading Pedagogy in Introductory Composition Textbooks
This dissertation reports the creation and application of a research tool for examining reading pedagogy in composition textbooks. Empirical data shows types of reading possible and the extent to which they are used in textbooks representing various genres.
