This article presents the responses to 12 interview questions answered by teacher-scholars in the fields of history, philosophy, religion, English, classics, and the modern languages. The teacher-scholars give “top tips” on making the transition from graduate school to the career, establishing routine for the classroom, initiating and following through on a research agenda, finding rewarding work outside of the Academy, navigating the tenure and promotion process, understanding institutional governance structures, and working through mid-career slumps.
