Sexism and partner violence: The role of attachment and attitudes.

Patriarchal, sexist attitudes have long been considered the root cause of men’s intimate partner violence (IPV). However, empirical research into the relation between sexism and IPV has been mixed. This study compares the association between sexist attitudes and IPV for men and women and examines potential mediators of this relation.
