Abstract

Aspects of social networking site usage were examined in relation to gender, imaginary audience ideation, narcissism, and separationindividuation concerns in a sample of 975 undergraduates. The pattern of significant relations found suggests social networking may provide a means for addressing concerns about connectedness arising from the developmental tasks of separation-individuation.
