Abstract

This study evaluated the following hypothesis: Vocal pitch affects perceptions of the Big Five personality traits. Students (n=191) from a small private Mid-West university were surveyed using voice manipulated recordings. The independent variable, vocal pitch, was evaluated at the following levels: low, medium, and high.
