Abstract

Stephen Sondheim, America’s most revered living writer of musical theatre, weaves together stories taken from the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in this Tony Award-winning favorite. In this comically multilayered musical that takes place between once upon a time and happily ever after, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack the Giant Killer and other favorites set out to have their wishes fulfilled, only to journey back into the woods as they deal with the repercussions of their previous actions. This funny and touching musical reminds us that “No One is Alone.”
