The purpose of the current study is to investigate current crisis intervention strategies used in general education classrooms including students with emotional and behavioral disorders and to identify crisis intervention techniques effectively used in high school settings. General education teachers completed a survey designed for the purpose of current investigation. The results of the survey will be used to develop a crisis intervention manual that will enhance general education teachers' understanding of emotional and behavioral disorders, inform the importance of the use of crisis intervention strategies in the high school setting and provide effective crisis intervention strategies identified by their colleague teachers and previous literature.
